General Information
- The Swan River runs through the city creating an peaceful setting to relax at one of the many cafés and restaurants around the river
- The Swan River links Perth to its port, Fremantle. Fremantle has clean beaches and a beautiful place to visit!
- Perth has over 80 kilometres of beach coast is a perfect place for surfers and swimmers
- The many suburbs close to Perth are great known for their nightlife such as Scarborough, Subiaco and Northbridge!
- Perth also offers wineries, rainforests and has many Aboriginal paintings
Weather
Western Australia has 3 different types of climates given the size of its land
In the northern part of Western Australia, it has tropical weather with warm months from April to September and wetter seasons from October to March
In the central area of Western Australia, the land is mainly desert like with very dry climate.
Perth is located in the southern section and it experiences a Mediterranean climate of warm/dry summer months and cool/wet winter months.

Wineries
Western Australia is famous for its wineries and the quality of wines exported overseas, especially Margaret River!
Some wineries in that area are:
- Vasse Felix- the first commercial winery in Margaret River, with restaurants and cafes for everybody to enjoy the food and wine
- Swan Valley - oldest winery in Western Australia
Broome
Broome is located far North at Western Australia, about two and a half hours flight from Perth.
It is famous for its South Sea Pearls and 22 kilometres of white sand at Cable Beach!
Coral Coast
Along the Southern and Western side of Western Australia, you can find the Ningaloo Reef to go diving, fishing, and see the marine life there. While you are there, you can also see dolphins, mante rays and even humpback whales.
Golden Outback
Kalgoorlie is famous in history in the 1890’s for the gold rush. To this day, gold mines are still operating everyday and sometimes they even find the old mines that were used during the gold rush.
