Who is this visa designed for?

This is mainly for people who want to come to Australia for holidays or to visit friends and family. This type of visa does not allow you to work in Australia.

What does tourist visa let me do?

If you are granted with tourist visa:

• you can stay in Australia up to one year (12 months) - note that the period of stay granted will depend on the purpose of the visit and your personal circumstances,
• you can study up to 3 months
• you cannot work in Australia
• this visa will allow you either a single or multiple entries to Australia

How can I apply?

You can apply:

• outside Australia for up to 12 months
• in Australia to extend your stay for a total duration of up to 6 months from the date of last entry on your current visa (online application), or up to 12 months (paper application).
